4 CRPF men killed in Bastar Naxal attack

Bastar: There has been a suspected Naxal attack near the Chitrakote area of Chhattisgarh. Four CRPF personnel, who were conducting combing operations for the President, were killed.

A CRPF vehicle was blown up in a landmine blast. Two people, a Deputy Commandant and his driver have died. Five others were injured while securing an area for President Pratibha Patil.

The blast happened just over 30 kms from the Chitrakote falls which President Patil was visiting.

Patil, who was on a two-day visit to the state, is safe. She then went onto Raipur.
