48 hours of Naxal terror

New Delhi: BIHAR
 
Oct 12: Banshipur railway station in Lakhisarai district of Bihar set on fire. Almost 200 naxals set the station on fire and held railway station employees captive for over two hours. They later laid seige to the Mananpur railway station, which lies 4 km away. All trains between Delhi-Howrah have been affected.

Oct 12: Naxals blow up a telephone tower of a private company in Aurangabad district in Bihar.

Oct 13: Naxals blew up the Sangrampur block office in the Munger district of Bihar. The incident occurred between 1:00-3:00 am on Tuesday, Oct 13. Most official records were destroyed in the attack.

Oct 13: Naxals blew up the railway track at Narganjo halt in the Jamui district of Bihar.

Oct 13: A block office in the Chanan block of the Lakhisarai district of Bihar was blown up in an attack that occurred early morning n Tuesday, Oct 13. No casualties were reported.

 
JHARKHAND
 
Oct 13: Naxals blew up a railway track near Yogeshwar Vihar railway station in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. Some local trains are affected, while there are no reports of any casualties.

Oct 12: Naxals blew up railway tracks in Bokaro between Jarangdih and Bokaro Thermal station in Jharkhand. The Ranchi-Delhi railway line was affected. They also damaged a bridge.

Oct 12: In Giridih, about 12 armed Maoists set fire to three trucks and cut down trees to block traffic on the Dumri-Giridih road.

Oct 12: Naxals killed the deputy director and assistant manager of Panam coal mine in Pakur district of Jharkhand. Two senior officials of the private mining company were shot dead by unidentified assailants at Chhotapahar in Pakur.
