Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir: Six persons were injured, two of them seriously, in an explosion in a cracker shop in this district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening.
"A blast took place apparently in a box containing Chinese crackers inside a shop at Ward No 7 this evening in which six persons were injured," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kathua, Pawan Kumar Parihar told PTI.
He said the forensic science laboratory of the police has taken up the samples from the blast site to ascertain the nature of the explosion.
"Initially it seems to be a blast of Chinese crackers, but samples have been taken to find out the exact nature of the explosion," Mr Kumar said.
He said out of the six injured persons, two have been shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for treatment, whereas four were admitted to district hospital in Kathua
