Munger: It's not just swine flu that's shaking the country; the rising number of cases of cerebral malaria is another big story that is developing in Munger, Bihar.
Sixty three fresh cases of the disease have been reported from the state, all from the haveli kharagpur block again.
The total number of confirmed cases have gone up to about 670.
A total number of 1700 samples have been tested till now, and reports on another 100 are expected by Sunday evening.
Fortunately there are no new deaths and the DDT spraying in all affected areas of Munger will be done by Monday.
A Central team visited Bihar on Saturday to take stock of the situation in cerebral malaria-hit Munger district.
The four-member panel headed by joint director of Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry Dr S N Sharma would assist in providing medical care to the affected people.
