Many districts of Rajasthan are flooded due to heavy rainfall in the state.
At least eight people have been killed and 56 villages inundated after heavy rains hit parts of Rajasthan, leading to a flood-like situation in three areas of Baran district.
The Air Force has airlifted 67 people stranded in different areas of Rajasthan so far, officials said.
A total of 33 people were airlifted by Air Force today from two locations in Pratapgarh district today while 34 others were airlifted from Baran yesterday.
"Chabra, Cheepabardot and Kawai have seen rainfall upto 250 mm on Saturday, which has left the low lying villages inundated," said Collector of Baran, SP Singh.
The Army and the Air Force are deployed in the district for rescue operations in Baran. Rescue operations are still continuing in Baran and nearby areas.
"Three persons are trapped at an island in Parvati river. They had gone for fishing in the river but suddenly the water level in the river rose. Efforts are on to rescue them," Baran Collector SP Singh said.
Rajasthan's Chittorgarh received 62 mm rain flooding the road leading to the town. The National Disaster Response Force or NDRF and State Disaster Response Fund or SDRF have been sent to Chittorgarh.
Several places in Banswara, Bhilwara and Pratapgarh have recorded 23 cm of rainfall and other regions received below 23 cm since yesterday.
The Met department has issued warning for heavy to very rainfall for isolated places in east Rajasthan.
