Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today congratulated ISRO on the successful launch of advanced weather satellite SCSAT-1 and 7 other satellites.
"Placing eight satellites in different orbits in a single launch is a unique achievement. I congratulate ISRO scientists for this. I wish the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota will continue to be the platform for launch of many more successful space missions," Mr Chandrababu said in a statement.
Mr Jagan, while congratulating the scientists, wished them more success in future endeavours.
Meanwhile, Mr Chandrababu and Mr Jagan also hailed the victory of Indian cricket team in the historic 500th Test match at Kanpur today.
Mr Chandrababu complimented members of the Indian cricket team for their excellent performance against New Zealand. Mr Jagan said it was a decisive victory for the Indian team and wished it success in the remaining matches of the ongoing series.
