Etah, Uttar Pradesh:
Inspired by anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, a prison guard today sat on a fast outside Etah district jail alleging that there was corruption there.
Toofani Singh, who sat on dharna outside the jail gates, alleged that there was large-scale corruption inside the district jail. He demanded that it should be eradicated at the earliest.
Singh alleged money was being taken from jail guards for allotting them favourable duty and also from prisoners to provide them better facilities.
Senior officials are trying to convince him to end his fast.
