Less than two weeks after journalists were attacked in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in Chennai, newspersons were roughed in front of Union Telecom Minister A Raja allegedly by his supporters at the Chennai airport.
This happened when reporters asked him about the controversial recorded telephone conversation, allegedly between him and a lobbyist.
The Madras Union of Journalists has demanded an apology from the minister.
Over the past some time, A Raja has got embroiled in two major allegations, the spectrum scam that allegedly led to a loss of 60,000 crore rupees and his alleged telephone call to a Madras high court judge for a favourable order.
