In Madhya Pradesh, the MLAs were addressed by a spiritual guru who spoke about honesty, money and corruption, and while it seemed the elected members were listening attentively, the fact remains that every fifth one faces criminal charges, and 13 ministers are accused of corruption.
"Be honest. Walk on the path of truth. Don't sell your conscience for money," said Muni Tarun Sagar, Spiritual Guru.
Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya who is accused of huge land scams, and the Animal Husbandry Minister, Ajey Bishnoi, who was removed from the Health portfolio because of his alleged involvement in a multi-crore health scam were attending.
"The guru talked about many things. Take what suits you," said Ajey Bishnoi, Animal Husbandry Minister.
From tainted ministers to MLAs with criminal record, almost everyone latching on to every word the spiritual leader had to offer. But the question is, will it change hearts?
