Aam Aadmi Party Appoints Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi As Punjab Convenor

Chandigarh: AAP today appointed political satirist and actor Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi as the party's Punjab convenor in place of Sucha Singh Chhotepur, who was removed from the post after a video clip surfaced showing him allegedly taking bribes in exchange for poll tickets.

The political affairs committee of the party cleared Mr Ghuggi's name for the post, a party release said in Chandigarh, adding that he will take charge soon.
