New Delhi: The court has adjourned the hearing on the framing of charges against Nupur and Rajesh Talwar in the double-murder case of 13-year old Aarushi and Hemraj till tomorrow. The lawyers representing the Talwars today asked for 15 more days to review documents submitted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Ghaziabad Court gave them a one-day extension, adding the arguments will start tomorrow positively.

Last week, the CBI handed over three CDs to the Talwars' lawyers and also brought around 6000 pages of documents to be given to the couple. In the last hearing, the lawyer for the Talwars had asked for some more documents related to the case and wanted at least a month to study these. But court rejected it, saying that there are directions from the Supreme Court saying the case should be expedited.

Nupur and Rajesh Talwar, both dentists, were made accused on February 9, 2011 for murder and destruction of evidence in the murders of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj by the special CBI court.

About a month back, Nupur Talwar surrendered before the court, after more than a year of avoiding the courts. Nupur's bail petition was rejected by the Ghaziabad court three weeks ago. She is currently in the Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad. Rajesh Talwar was arrested soon after the murders and was kept behind bars for 50 days before being set free in July 2008. He, along with his wife, was then made an accused in the case, three years later.
