A fresh application has been moved in the Supreme Court seeking its direction to the CBI not to transfer or repatriate any of its officers who are currently investigating the sensational murder of teenager Aarushi and her domestic help Hemraj.
The application filed by advocate Ajay Agrawal had alleged that due to various extraneous reasons, the CBI was transferring several of its investigating officers, thus hampering a fair investigation.
The advocate had earlier moved a petition requesting the apex court to monitor the probe being conducted by the CBI.
Citing an earlier precedent, the application has claimed that the CBI itself had on November 16, 2004 moved an application in the apex court seeking a direction that none of its officers involved in the investigation relating to the multi crore Telgi stamp paper racket should be transfered or repatriated to their parent departments.
Agrawal wanted the court to pass a similar direction in the Aarushi case that none of the investigating officers from the CBI should be transferred or repatriated until completion of the case.
The CBI had earlier submitted a status report on the investigations in a sealed cover and the same comes in the backdrop of fresh allegations that the vaginal swab of Aarushi was tampered with to shield the actual accused. Aarushi, the daughter of a dentist couple, and domestic help Hemraj were found murdered under mysterious circumstances at their Noida house on May 16, 2008.
