Gurdaspur: A polythene bag near a private school led to a bomb scare in Punjab's Gurdaspur, which was attacked by terrorists on Monday.
The bag was found in a lane near the DAV School in Gurdaspur, 210 km from Chandigarh.
The area, which is close to a bus stand, was cordoned off and bomb disposal units were called in to investigate the suspicious packet.
"We cannot say anything at this moment. We are investigating the matter," a Punjab Police officer said.
The bomb scare came just four days after a terror strike in nearby Dinanagar town in Gurdaspur district. Seven people including four policemen and three civilians were killed in the attack.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh said in Parliament today that the three terrorists killed in the attack had come from Pakistan.
