Etah, Uttar Pradesh: A 16-year-old girl suffered burn injuries when a man allegedly attacked her with acid near Khemaka petrol pump while she was on her way to tuition classes, police said.
Purnima, a class XII student, was attacked with acid on Saturday allegedly by a man named Ajay Kumar, they said.
The accused tried to escape after the incident but the locals captured and beat him up before handing him over to the police.
Later on the police took two shopkeepers in custody for were selling acid.
An FIR has been lodged against the accused.
