Railways have made arrangements to facilitate transportation of families of those hit by the devastating earthquake in Nepal.
Additional coaches have been added in several trains for different destinations to accommodate the families of affected persons, a senior Railway Ministry official said.
"According to the arrangement, one coach each in Howrah, Hyderabad, and Delhi bound trains were attached at Raxaul as per requirement to facilitate the travel," he said.
"One second class coach is also being attached in Satyagrah Express from Delhi to Raxaul to meet the transportation need of relatives of persons affected in Nepal earthquake. Two additional coaches will be attached in Sadbhawna Express train from Delhi to Raxaul," he said
Extra coaches have been arranged by the Northern Railways to clear passengers from Delhi to Raxaul and other rail heads adjoining Nepal as per requirement.
Railways have also dispatched four lakh liters of 'Rail Neer' water bottles for quake-affected people in the Himalayan country, the official said.
