Adnan Sami, who is all set to make his debut as an actor in new film titled
Afghan - In Search Of A Home, shared the first poster of his upcoming movie on social media today. On the poster, Adnan, who sports a turban and a bearded look, is seen playing Sarod. "Super excited to begin my new journey with #AfghanTheFilm!," he tweeted. In the film, Adnan Sami will be seen portraying the role of a musician from Afghanistan, who flees his country under tense circumstances and seeks refuge in a new place.
Afghan - In Search Of A Home will be co-directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru.

On Wednesday, the makers of Afghan - In Search Of A Home reveled the first look of Adnan Sami as the protagonist of the film.
Adnan Sami, a Pakistani singer, received Indian citizenship in December 2015. Adnan Sami's Pakistani passport expired and was not renewed by Pakistan's government. The singer then submitted a request for Indian citizenship to the Home Ministry on humanitarian grounds, which was approved later in the year.
Afghan - In Search Of A Home marks Adnan Sami's second collaboration with Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. He previously worked with them in Salman Khan's 2005 movie
Lucky: No Time for Love.
Adnan Sami last featured as a singer in 2015 movie
Bajrangi Bhaijaan, starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. He was the playback singer for the song
Bhar Do Jholi Meri. Adnan Sami has also sung for Bollywood films like
