New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to embark on a five nation tour that kicks off next week.
Sources say the Prime Minister will first go to Afghanistan on June 4, where he will visit Herat to inaugurate the Salma Dam that has been funded by India.
After that, PM Modi will head to Qatar on June 5 for a bilateral visit. He will hold talks with Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, where economic ties, especially the hydrocarbon sector, will be high on the agenda.
Sources say Switzerland is also likely to be on the Prime Minister's schedule, with a visit being worked out for June 6. There, officials say, he will raise the black money issue with Swiss authorities - one of the key election promises of the BJP.
The Prime Minister will then fly to the United States for a bilateral visit on June 7 and June 8. He will be addressing a joint session of the US Congress on June 8.
He is then expected to visit Mexico before returning home on June 10.
