After fuel price hike, air fares to go up

New Delhi: After the fuel hike, more bad news for air passengers as air fares are all set to rise thanks to the 10 per cent service tax on the airline industry and the 5 per cent customs duty on crude oil.

Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel has reportedly demanded a rollback of the service tax, which airlines are most likely to pass on to their customers.
