New Delhi:
In the latest trouble for Air India's Dreamliner fleet, an aircraft headed from Delhi to Kolkata was forced to turn back in 45 minutes after the windshield developed a crack while mid-air, according to the Press Trust of India.
The plane was brought back to Delhi and the passengers were later flown to Kolkata on another aircraft, said unnamed sources quoted by the news agency.
Although there are several layers in an aircraft's windshield, the pilots decided not to take a chance and turned around while over Lucknow to Delhi, said the report.
