An Air India flight carrying 130 Indian nationals, who were stranded in war-ravaged Yemen, arrived
in Kochi.
They were part of evacuees taken to Djibouti from Sanaa, Yemen, earlier in the day today, Kerala Minister for Diaspora KC Joseph told PTI.
The evacuees, mostly from Kerala and Tamil Nadu, were welcomed at the airport by Joseph and state government officials.
Yesterday, a group of 330 Indian nationals evacuated from Yemen had reached here by a special AI flight.
This is the third landing of a plane carrying Indian nationals evacuated from Yemen at Kochi.
In the early hours on Thursday, an IAF plane carrying 168 Indian nationals evacuated from Yemen had landed at Kochi.
