New Delhi: The government is trying its best to help end the stalemate between Air India's management and its pilots.

With nearly 50 per cent of Air India's flights cancelled on Tuesday, the government is meeting representatives of all airlines in Delhi.

The meeting is being chaired by the Civil Aviation Secretary who has two items on his agenda. Firstly, all airlines are being warned not to profit from the current crisis, and to help accommodate Air India passengers.

The other topic of discussion is to help Air India look at options for a truce.

The Prime minister has already expressed his concern about the strike. He discussed it on Monday night with the Civil Aviation Minister, Praful Patel.
