New Delhi:

Air India, which is currently battling a huge cash crisis, has now slashed fares for certain sectors to woo passengers.

Air India has announced special fares for its Mumbai and Delhi sectors.

Tickets for the special fares can be only booked for a week up to July 3, and for travel up to September 15.

Like airlines across the world, the national carrier is seeing a tremendous decrease in passenger traffic and increasing costs.

Meanwhile, the meeting on wage delay between Air India's management and unions remained inconclusive for a second day in a row on Friday.

Three unions representing nearly 70 per cent of the Air India's total strength of 32,000 employees met up with the CMD, and the meeting went on for over three hours.

Unions insist they want their salaries on time while the management has stuck to its stand that the June salary will be delayed by two weeks.

The meeting will continue on Saturday as well.
