Thrissur: In view of a bomb threat, security has been increased in and around the famous Guruvayoor temple in Thrissur district of Kerala.
Police say temple authorities received a letter today threatening to trigger blasts within two days at the temple and nearby areas.
The hand-written letter was in English and it claimed to be from terror group Al Qaeda. It warned of blasts at four places in the temple. The letter is believed to have been posted from Chennai.
Bomb detection squads conducted searches in and around the temple, but it did not yield anything.
Further investigation into the source of the letter is on.
