Patna: One suspected Al-Qaida terrorist carrying a Pakistani passport was arrested near Patna on Tuesday, a senior police official said.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Purnia town, about 350 km from here, and captured Gulam Rasool alias Mirza, ADG (HQ), U S Dutt said.
Dutt said during interrogation Mirza had confessed that he had worked for Al Qaeda between 2004 and 2005.
Mirza was planning to sneak into Bangladesh through the Indo-Bangla border in Purnia district, the ADG said.
