Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh:
In yet another instance of Team Anna's attacks on the political class, a key member of the anti-graft campaign, Manish Sisodia slammed all political parties as thieves.
Mr Sisodia's comment came at a public meeting in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. This time, though, it wasn't just the Congress that came under fire.
"I just want to say one thing. After today's meet, take an oath that we will take the remote control back from these thieves. If we will say, we will be determined. By this statement of mine, we don't know how much the Congress is going to benefit and it's not about the Congress. Mayawati is also a thief, Mulayam Singh is also a thief and the BJP is also a thief", Mr Sisodia said.
The latest attack by Mr Sisodia could ruffle quite a few feathers, especially after his colleague Kiran Bedi was criticised for her remarks against politicians at Anna Hazare's second fast in August.
In the last couple of months, Team Anna has limited its attacks to the Congress, blaming it for not bringing in the Jan Lokpal Bill (Citizens' Ombudsman Bill) that is meant to fight graft amongst public servants.
The confrontation reached a crescendo after Mr Hazare and his associates led a high-decibel campaign against the party in the Hisar by-poll last month. Led by Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi, the civil society activists urged voters to hand out a defeat to the Congress.
