Lucknow:
The Allahabad High Court has recommended the termination of services of 11 trainee judges over their alleged mis-demeanour with a woman trainee judge after they got drunk at a dinner party.
The incident occurred on August 7 in Lucknow when trainees from the Judicial Training and Research Institute went to a restaurant to celebrate the completion of their training.
Following a complaint, the court instituted an inquiry which found them guilty of misconduct which prompted the court to take stringent action.
The court has also taken action against three directors of the institute who were trying to cover-up the incident, by transferring them.
However, sources at the institute denied that the incident ever happened, saying the girl in question was not even present at the party.
The termination letter has been sent to the Governor of Uttar Pradesh as his assent is needed to formalise the termination of services.
