Allegations to malign image, says RSS

New Delhi: Rubbishing allegations of its involvement in the Ajmer blasts, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has said its name was being dragged into the case to malign its image.

"Efforts are being made to drag the name of Sangh in the (Ajmer) blast case... innocent people and organisations like Sangh are being maligned," RSS leader Ram Madhav told reporters in New Delhi on Saturday.

He was asked about the reported involvement of two arrested persons with Hindu outfits. Madhav said the ongoing probe into the blast should continue to get to the bottom of the truth.

Two suspects arrested in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast case, Chandrashekhar and Devendra Gupta, are alleged to be members of the terror module involved in the blast which killed three persons. Gupta is allegedly linked with Hindu outfit Abhinav Bharat Sangathan.
