New Delhi:
The Himachal High Court has cancelled the bail of the four students accused of killing Aman Kachroo at their college campus last year.
The four former students have been asked to surrender in court by Thursday.
Welcoming the court's order, Aman's father, Rajendra Kachroo said, "It is a good development. The message that had gone across the last time was incorrect and it has been
rectified. I am glad to say it has been rectified".
Aman Kachroo died after being ragged by seniors at his college in 2009. Four of them were accused of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Last week, a lower court controversially granted bail to them on the grounds that the testimony against them had been recorded.
Kachroo had joined a medical college in Kangra when he was physically assaulted by seniors for several hours. His death prompted a nationwide review of ragging on campuses.
His father, Rajinder Kachroo, has been fighting his case.
