Amar Singh pulls no punches on his blog

New Delhi: His party may be against computers, but Amar Singh has gone online unable perhaps to withstand the lure of the Internet.

The Samajwadi Party leader is not tweeting his thoughts or updating status messages on facebook yet, but he has been blogging, waxing eloquent on everything ranging from politics and sports, to climate change.

And the one to initiate him is none another than avid blogger, his close friend and superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

As colourful on his blog as in real life, nothing's a no-comment for Amar Singh - his politics or personal health.

Like on his coming to blows over the Liberhan report, he writes:

"As far as my outburst in Parliament is concerned, I really got scared of (the) thought that now even parliament is going to get divided on religious lines. Only one thought came in my mind at that point in time that I have to stop it... then what happened you all know...it was an impulsive and instant reaction, nonetheless I am greatly embarrassed of it."

In response to the flak he's drawn following the Samajwadi Party's shock defeat in its pocketborough of Ferozabad in UP, he writes:

"Post Firozabad events have once again made me realize that politics is not a bed of roses. In bloody politics one is never settled, it's a continuous struggle...Sometimes you have to fight outsiders and sometimes... you have to deal with own family members...."

And if you're wondering if he's said anything about bade bhai Amitabh Bachchan, absolutely. Chhote bhai Anil Ambani also finds mention.

And what is the response to the blog? Well, if Singh's to be believed, he's had 30,000 pageviews.
