After remaining suspended for the last two days, the Amarnath yatra today resumed with a batch of 255 pilgrims leaving for the cave shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas.
The yatra was suspended due to bad weather conditions from Jammu on August 15.
As many as 255 pilgrims today left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp to pay obeisance at the Ice-Lingam, officials said, adding that the batch consisted of 145 men, 30 women, eight children and 72 sadhus.
A convoy of seven vehicles, carrying the devotees, left the Yatri Niwas at around 4:55 am.
