BJP president Amit Shah today said NDA government's two years in office at the Centre will be written in "golden words" in history for the many developmental works that took place during the place.
"After two days, the Narendra Modi government at the Centre will complete two years. In the history of India this period will be written in golden words that so many developmental works took place, which never happened in 60 years since Independence," Mr Shah said.
Elaborating, he said the Centre under the leadership of Narendra Modi has worked for development of all sections of people and the happiest moment for his party to form the government in Assam.
Addressing the
huge public function organised for the swearing-in of new Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, he said "I want to assure the people of Assam that our government will work very efficiently to take the state on the path of strong growth. Assam will be included in the list of developed states in India."
The Centre will always stand by Assam in its problems and needs, he added.
Mr Shah ended his speech with 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. The public meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a host of BJP chief ministers, besides those of Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, Union ministers and top BJP leaders.
