New Delhi: Newly appointed BJP President Amit Shah will today launch the party's 'Vijay Sankalp Yatra' in Haryana ahead of the crucial assembly polls in the state.

Four rallies will be flagged off from Mahendragarh in Haryana. The yatra will be led by state BJP President Ram Bilas Sharma.

Areas such as Rewari, Gurgaon, Mewat, Faridabad and Palwal will be covered over the next 11 days.

Amit Shah is credited with scripting the BJP's splendid victory in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha polls this year. While addressing the party's National Council meeting in Delhi last week he said, "Let there be no state or union territory where the BJP is not a force to reckon with".

The meet - held to ratify Mr Shah's appointment as the BJP chief - was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former party president Rajnath Singh, veteran leader LK Advani and senior leader Arun Jaitley, among others.

"We need to develop the habit of winning in all elections," the party chief told the assembly of leaders and cadres.
