New Delhi: A visit to Amitabh Bachchan's social media accounts is always a delightful experience. Who waits for Thursday to arrive for some throwback fun when it's Tuesday and you stumble upon a favourite old pic? You really, really want to share it with others and so, Big B did Instagram a blast from the past featuring Jaya Bachchan, with whom he's been married for over four decades. Big B revealed in the caption that the throwback gold is from before Big B and the veteran actress got married, supposedly from 1972 or a year before, when the duo co-starred in films like Guddi, Ek Nazar and Piya Ka Ghar. "The wife, when she was not the wife," Big B wrote when sharing the pic on Instagram. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on June 3 this year.

"44 years of marriage...thank you all for the wishes you send...grateful and filled with love," is what Big B tweeted on his wedding anniversary.

Amitabh Bachchan's family - son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishawarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda Bachchan - often feature on his social media posts, a trend which Abhishek also seems to follow. Here's a vintage photograph from the 1980s when Big B was being treated for mysthenia gravis. "Being too young to understand what all was going on our parents always made it out to be like an outing so that we would not be disturbed by the hospital and its workings," Abhishek had Instagrammed.
