An MP and His Bike are Parted for Parliament

New Delhi: Few things make Babul Supriyo as happy as riding his Royal Enfield Thunderbird.

Unfortunately for him, he won't be zipping into Parliament on his bike.  The 44-year-old first time BJP MP from Bengal has been told by Parliament officials that motorcycles are not permitted

"I would have loved to actually driven my bike which was a gift after I became an MP," said Mr Supriyo, who took the new bike out for a spin last night.

Mr Supriyo, a famous playback singer who has worked in Bollywood and crafted hits in Oriya and Bengali films, represents West Bengal's Asanol constituency in Parliament.
