A 45-year-old engineer from Andhra Pradesh who was kidnapped in Assam a week ago by suspected Bodo militants has been rescued by the police.
Engineer Bathula Ankamma Rao, an employee of the Bolineni Seenaiah Company, was looking after a Power Grid Corporation project in the Chirang district.
The Assam Police have refused to share more details but say the rescue came after days of intense search operations in the area.
