At least 15 people in Telangana and 12 in Andhra Pradesh have been killed as rivers in both states remained in spate on Sunday.

The weather department on Sunday issued a red alert for very heavy to extremely heavy rain in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Kamareddy and Mahabubnagar districts of Telangana for Monday.
Hyderabad, where heavy rain has led to waterlogging in many parts, declared a holiday for schools on Monday.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy held an emergency review meeting and told officials to remain alert and take action for immediate relief in flood-affected areas. He also appealed to the people to only leave their homes if there is urgent work.
In Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada has been the worst affected district. Budameru, a rivulet on the outskirts of Vijayawada, overflowed at several points on Sunday, leading to flooding in many city localities.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu made his second visit to Ajit Singh Nagar in Vijayawada, one of the worst affected places, and distributed food packets to flood victims.
Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Parvatipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Kakinada, and Nandyala districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall on Monday.
