A day before the Budget session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly starts, the Commissionerate police in Bhubaneswar received an anonymous letter on Thursday, threatening to blow up the State Assembly, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's residence and the state BJP headquarters.
The post card which was addressed to the Twin City Police Commissioner, threatened to blow up the three places with timer bombs.
While the security has been beefed up at important places across the city, Deputy Commissioner of Police Satyabrat Bhoi has been assigned to inquire about the sender and the motive.
