Another intern alleges sexual harassment by Supreme Court judge who is being probed
New Delhi: A week after a young lawyer blogged that the Supreme Court judge she was interning for had sexually harassed her, another woman who worked for the same judge has reportedly made a similar claim on Facebook.

Legally India, a website on law-related news and firms, says the new complainant wrote on Facebook, "I've been at the receiving end of unsolicited sexual advance more than once, and so has she (Stella James). And we kept attributing all the signs of leeriness to our hypersensitivity to such situations, mistrusting our instincts." (Read Legally India's report here)

Legally India has not disclosed this woman's name.

Last week, it interviewed Stella James who had blogged that a judge had harassed her in a hotel room on Christmas Eve while she was an intern. On Monday, Ms James will testify for three Supreme Court judges who are investigating her allegations. (Read entire blog on Indian Journal of Law and Society here)

A former Delhi University lecturer has also filed a police complaint based on Ms James' comment. Professor SN Singh, ex-dean of faculty of law, has demanded an independent police investigation into the allegations; he says the judges' inquiry is in-house and has no legal sanctity.

The second intern allegedly wrote on Facebook that she confronted the judge. "He promised, incidentally, that he would never misbehave with another lady. Maybe it's naivete to believe him. Maybe it's just youthful optimism. Being brave is tougher than it appears on the face of it, no? (Stella James) has oodles of courage."
