Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court has stayed land acquisition proceedings in Bisrakh Jalalpur and Devla villages of Greater Noida.
Thirty two hectares of land was being acquired in these villages and sold to private builders for apartments. Farmers from the area had petitioned against the acquisition.
The court will hear the matter in July. For now, it has issued a notice to the state government asking them to file their reply.
