Another woman gangraped in Haryana; ninth case in less than a month
New Delhi: It's the ninth incident of rape in less than a month from Haryana. A newly-married woman  has registered a complaint saying she was allegedly abducted and gangraped by four men at Banwasa village under Gohana sub-division in Haryana's Sonipat district, 200 km from Chandigarh.

A woman and four others have been arrested and will be produced in Gohana court today.

"All the four accused (in the married woman's rape) have been arrested. The accused are being interrogated and will be produced tomorrow," Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gohana Yash Pal Khatana said.

The victim, who got married three months ago, had gone to her parents' house in Banwasa village Sep 28 when the woman allegedly told her that her husband was waiting for her at the Gohana railway crossing.

When she went there, she was abducted in a car. She told police that four men raped her repeatedly. She was released by the accused on Wednesday, after which she complained to police.

Statistics now show that nine women have been raped over the last 25 days in the state.

In another incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 45-year-old neighbour in in Rohtak, about 70 km from Delhi on Wednesday evening.

In the same area, a minor, mentally-challenged Dalit girl was raped in on Monday. The victim, 15, was allegedly lured by three women relatives in Kachchi Garhi Mohalla colony of Rohtak and then raped by a man on Monday evening in an abandoned house.

Last week, a teenaged girl was gangraped by four men in Gohana town in Haryana's Sonipat district.
