Hyderabad:
The Election Commission on Thursday issued a notice to Andhra Pradesh Congress President D Srinivas over his controversial remarks at an election meeting in Nizamabad recently.
"A notice has been issued to PCC president D Srinivas over his remarks made in Nizamabad on April 5," state Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao told reporters here on Thursday.
The APCC president had allegedly said that if anyone pointed a finger at minorities, he will have his hand removed.
The EC's decision came following a complaint by the BJP to the CEO.
