Tezpur:
An army colonel and a jawan were killed in an IED blast in Assam's Sonitpur district on Monday.
Defence sources said the blast took place at Chariduar, near Bhalukpung at around 6.30 am when the army official from the medical corps and the jawan were accompanying an ambulance from Tezpur to Tenga in Arunachal Pradesh.
The colonel was identified as Parimal but the identity of the jawan is yet to be ascertained.
