Army Vice Chief Reviews Situation Along the India-Pakistan Border in Jammu

Jammu: The Vice Chief of the Army Staff Lt Gen Philip Campose today visited Jammu and reviewed the security situation along Indo-Pak border.

Lt Gen Campose visited the winter capital and Crossed Swords Division today and also interacted with officers and men of the Division, a defence spokesman said.

During the visit, the Vice Chief was briefed on the security dynamics along the International Border and Line of Control in the area by Major General Kulpreet Singh, the spokesman said.

He was received by Major General Kulpreet Singh, General Officer Commanding, Crossed Swords Division, Major General Sanjeev Narain, General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division and Air Commodore Ashutosh Lal, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Jammu at Technical Area Jammu.

The Vice Chief also paid homage and rich tributes to brave martyrs of the Crossed Swords Division at the 'Warriors' Grove'.

Thereafter, he visited the forward location of Rakhmuthi and addressed the troops in a special Sainik Sammelan where he applauded the efforts of the men in ensuring peace and the defence of the country and for placing the call of duty above all while serving the motherland.

The General Officer bestowed his best wishes to the units in the forward areas and exhorted all ranks to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation.
