Arrest of Jaish militant; CBI to probe

New Delhi: A top Jaish-e-Mohammed militant who claimed to have played a key role in the 1999 IC-814 Kandahar hijacking has been arrested in Dhaka.

Bangladesh has informed the government of Indian about the arrest and the case is now being looked into by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI will verify the antecedents of the arrested man who has been identified as Belal Mandol.

Belal, who is a Bangladeshi national, was one of the five Jaish militants arrested by the rapid action battalion of Bangladesh.
