Ahmedabad:
The Gujarat Police have claimed that Mohammad Salim, the alleged Lashkar-e-Toiba operative arrested by the Delhi Police has a Gujarat connection.
The police say Salim is wanted in connection with the blast case at Kalupur railway station in which one person was killed. He is also reportedly wanted in connection with the alleged ISI conspiracy to send Gujarat youths for arms training to Pakistan in 2003.
The Gujarat Police also say that Salim studied at a madrassa nears Surat and they will soon seek his remand.
Salim was arrested from the New Delhi railway station on Tuesday. The police seized five kg of explosives and timer devices from him.
