The Center for Indian Music Experience is taking shape in the south of Bangalore city - and it promises to be a total immersion experience for lovers of music of all ages. The journey will prove to be a vibrant celebration which will celebrate India's unity and diversity with a musical expression, through which people will rediscover their connections to the living tradition that is Indian music.
Suma Sudhindra, Director - Outreach, Centre For Indian Music Experience, said that "Unfortunately, the present day generation, Indians know only Bollywood, but here is what we'll prove - that all this Bollywood started with classical and folk."
The musical instruments gallery at IME will represent and reflect all kinds of instruments. Folk instruments, tribal instruments, instruments that one may not have seen.
The Center for Indian Music Experience hopes to touch the music lover in all of us and promises to be a vibrant music hub, providing visitors an educative and a unique cultural experience of India's rich musical heritage.
