Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Home Minister Rajnath Singh are addressing a press conference in New Delhi where they are likely to announce a special package for Jammu and Kashmir. Here are the highlights:

- Jammu and Kashmir has a BJP-PDP government. We have started a Common Minimum Programme and we are committed to the state's full-fledged development.
- Floods ravaged the state last year
- The PM had also monitored the situation then and Rs 762 crore additional amount was given
- PM had announced for a relief of Rs 1000 crore as additional amount for the people of Jammu and Kashmir
- People lost everything in the floods, there was no shelter
- Today we have decided to allocate more funds for Jammu and Kashmir
- We're providing an additional ex-gratia relief of Rs 500 crore and Rs 1000 crore for restoration of damaged structures

- Jammu, Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh have special focus for our government
- All three regions need balanced growth, a team of bureaucrats including members of Niti Ayog and Expenditure Secretary will study and prepare a long term developmental vision for the state
- Additional foodgrain for the state has been approved
- Kachhe houses, houses for poor that are damaged or broken, NDA will rebuild 75,000 such houses
- We are also announcing a special grant to revive tourism in the state and rebuild 12 tourist locations in the state
- Last year, Rs 2602 crore and this year Rs 2437 crore has been released to the state
- A total of Rs 5000 crore has been released last year and this year for Jammu and Kashmir flood relief
- All allegations are baseless
- Sushma Swaraj acted with good intentions, party and government united on the issue
- The Enforcement Directorate has investigated several cases against the person concerned (Lalit Modi), showcause notices have been issued in a large number of them
- In 15 of the 16 cases, ED has issued showcause notices
- There is a confusion about the shades of blue - DRI issued a light-blue coloured notice in 2010 at the instance of the ED and it continues to be valid
