Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has been re-admitted to hospital for a post surgery check-up, his doctor said today.
Mr Jaitley, who had undergone a surgery to control diabetes earlier this month, was admitted last evening to Max hospital in Saket and is likely to be discharged tomorrow.
According to sources close to the Minister, Mr Jaitley is doing fine but he is under observation.
All of Mr Jaitley's engagements have been cancelled.
"Jaitley was admitted yesterday at 6 pm for a planned routine follow-up for the assessment of his kidney functioning parameters," said Dr Pradeep K Chowbey, Executive Vice-Chairman of Max Healthcare and Director of Max Institute of Minimal Access, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Earlier this month, the 61-year-old BJP leader had undergone an elective laproscopic procedure for diabetes management. He was discharged on September 10.
