Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal News Highlights: The Aam Aadmi Party is protesting in the national capital seeking the release of its chief Arvind Kejriwal. The protesters planned to gherao the prime minister's residence but were detained outside party headquarters and dragged into buses. The Delhi Police has increased security along the roads leading to the PM's residence. Gates of multiple Delhi Metro stations like Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat were closed for security reasons, officials said.

AAP's Haryana Unit Holds Protest Against Arvind Kejriwal's ArrestAam Aadmi Party workers on Tuesday staged protests across Haryana against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and accused the Narendra Modi government of trying to destroy their party.
Arvind Kejriwal, who is also the AAP national convener, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with an excise policy-linked money laundering case. He has been remanded in the ED custody till March 28. Following his arrest, the AAP gave a call for a nationwide protest against the BJP On Tuesday, AAP workers gathered near the BJP's offices in Ambala City, Karnal, Kaithal, Rohtak, Faridabad and other parts of Haryana and raised slogans against the Union government.

In another part of the city, police detained several AAP leaders and workers near Patel Chowk Metro station when they were trying to take out a protest march to gherao the prime minister's residence against the arrest of Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with an excise policy-linked money laundering case.
Arvind Kejriwal has been remanded in the ED custody till March 28.
At least 57 BJP members, including the party's Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva, were detained as they pressed ahead to reach the Delhi Secretariat building from the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium where they had gathered in large numbers, police said.
