New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today launched a pitch to "Make India Number 1", urging the participation of all political parties and citizens. His announcement at an address this afternoon comes ahead of the 2024 election.

The AAP chief said the mission would require providing free education and healthcare to all citizens and employment to the youth, besides equal rights and dignity to women and fair crop prices to the farmers.

"Our first duty is to make sure every child in India gets educated, regardless of how much money it costs. The second duty is to make sure every citizen gets better and free healthcare. We have to establish schools, hospitals, Mohalla clinics, etc. in every corner of the country," said Mr Kejriwal.

"Thirdly, our youth are currently unemployed. We have to find jobs for our youth. No youth in this country should be unemployed. Every woman in this country needs to be respected, get equal rights and security," added the Chief Minister.

Fifth, farmers in this country have to be paid their dues, he said, adding that if these five goals are achieved no one can stop India from becoming No. 1 in the world.

Mr Kejriwal, however, stated that the "Make India No. 1" mission is an apolitical one. He said he will travel across India and encourage people to join the initiative.

"This goes beyond party politics. I invite both the BJP and the Congress to come forward and join us to make India the number one country in the world," he said.
